My First International Journey - Day 4

So here we were on the last day in Dubai! Felt really bad that a wonderful journey was coming to an end! Many of the people in the contingent had left for home on early morning flights and a handful of us was scheduled for a late Saturday evening flight. Thanks to the organizers, we had a few activities lined up for the day.

My First International Journey - Day 3

Day 3 was one of the most awaited day of the journey! It was the day when we were about to witness the history, from about 500m above ground. It was the day when we were about to be AT THE TOP, the highest observatory in the world, located on the 124th floor of The Burj Khalifa.

It is Feb 14, 2013. Day 2 of the journey. A long day with many activities lined up.Enjoying the nice breeze and oblique sun rays falling on the body is a good start to the day.Time to get ready and get set and head out.

My First International Journey - Day 1

Dubai Airport (egg-shaped structure)

We had landed in Dubai around 3 PM local time and had been escorted throughout the airport by a representative of the Marhaba services (I must say this is the fastest and best service to finish immigration and get out of the airport). A chauffeur driven vehicle was waiting for us when we had stepped out of the airport. From the airport, we headed to our Hotel - Atlantis, The Palm. The hotel is situated on the Crescent of the palm i.e. on the Crescent road on The Palm, Jumeirah, Dubai. The first 5-star experience for me. The journey to the hotel was another great sight-seeing opportunity and a lot of photo-snapping through the windows of the car.  

My First International Journey

It was mid-January 2013 when I came to know that I am going on a journey to Dubai, UAE. Thankfully I did have a passport then and completed all the formalities that are necessary for an international trip. The journey was scheduled to be from Feb 13 to Feb 16, 2013, i.e. 3 nights and 4 days. Thanks to my cousin who was accompanying me on the journey, helped me with all the procedures.

It was my first international journey and I was so excited that I did have sleepless nights till I reached the departure terminal of Bengaluru Airport. It was a mid-day flight to Dubai via Mumbai and we reached there by noon(local time). From the airport, we headed to our hotel, Atlantis The Palm, situated on the crescent of The Palm, Jumeirah.
